The Artist
Jeffrey Gutierrez paints the weather inside.
He works out of a quiet studio on the outskirts of El Paso, where the desert light arrives slowly and leaves the same way. His paintings begin as texture — plaster, ash, copper — and resolve, eventually, into image.
The work moves between surreal geometry, atmospheric color fields, and small hand-painted figures collected one at a time.
